UPDATE: ADDED Another 10+ photos. Day 26 performed at WPGC’s 10th Annual “For Sisters Only” on Saturday, November 1st at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC which included acts such as Soulja Boy, Terrence Howard, and Ludacris. Apparently they got a good crowd response cause the fans ripped off Brian’s shirt. I have added 10+ photos of the event

Day26 recently took the time out of their busy schedules to talk to BET about staying together forever, their newfound celebrity, the blogs and have some interesting opinions on Aubrey O’Day, D Woods and the remaining members of Danity Kane.

Brian Andrews, Michael McCluney, Qwanell “Q” Mosley, Robert Curry and Willie Taylor were just some regular guys who wanted to sing back in 2007. By August 26th, 2007 they had endured a rugged period to beat out 20 other hopefuls to make Diddy’s band. On March 25th, the group released their self-titled debut album as Day26 and debuted at #1 on the charts. Later in 2008, the group toured with fellow MTB family members Danity Kane and Donnie Klang.

Three seasons of their sharing their lives in front of millions on MTV’s “Making The Band” has definitely thrust them into the limelight. But their limelight is coming at a bittersweet time as the group finds themselves bearing witness to their sisters of Danity Kane being disbanded.

How did it feel handling your first major tour?

Willie: The tour was great. We learned a lot from Danity Kane. It was crazy. It was like Diddy said with giving the crowd that gift of energy. We were just happy to experience that.

Was there any part of the tour where you guys were exhausted and ready for a break?

Brian: No! Never, ever, ever!

Brian and Mike give us their predictions for the Nov. 4th elections (REMEMBER TO VOTE) and who they would most likely have a beer with Mccain or Obama:

HP: So they say that the President who usually wins is the one you’d most want to drink a beer at a bar with. Who would that person be for you?
Brian: Oh, most definitely Obama! Because McCain would be kind of weird. But Sway from MTV said that he had interviewed Barack. And he said that he was so cool, so laid-back, so down to earth. It was like he was sitting with his uncle. So I mean, who doesn’t want to sit with their uncle, you know?
HP: What would you say to McCain if you were sitting with him at a bar?
Michael: Keep yourself together, McCain. Just give me some good real issues that are going on in the world, and stop trying to do a lot of stuff that’s already happening. Because it’s different–that’s what we’re begging and pleading for. That’s why the world is going the way it’s going now, because the past is the way it happened. We want something different and new that’s going to make it better. Then he could maybe get a lot more votes.
Brian: Obama! Obama!

Brian and Day 26 are featured in Hype Hair Magazine july 2008. This issue includes a new pic of Brian and he’s looks really good “Cool and Confident” are the words I believe.
